Food Hypersensitivities in children (2017 – 2018)
Client: Central Queensland University
Undertake the qualitative analysis of interview data gathered through a larger NH&MRC funded research program on food hypersensitivities in children and write the qualitative section of the report.
Positive Education Project (2016 – 2017)
Client: The Wellbeing & Resilience Centre, South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI)
Co-develop, implement and report on this research study into critical success factors for implementing positive psychology principles in South Australian schools.
NACCHO Governance Scoping Study (2010 – 2011)
Client: National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO)
Design, implement and report on this national scoping study of good practice in governance in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector in partnership with Jason Bromley of Incompro and Richard Nelson.
Increasing Vocational Learning Opportunities for Indigenous Youth in Juvenile Detention (2005 – 2006)
Client: Youth Education Centre, Magill Training Centre, Department of Education and Children’s Services
In partnership with Sharon Gollan, Natalie Harkin and Tangi Steen of The Unaipon School, UniSA, review relevant literature, train support staff in juvenile detention centres in undertaking research, support the research activities, analyse findings, and write a public domain report on the educational experiences of young Aboriginal people in juvenile detention centres that identifies directions for future action and research.
Indigenous Health Research Scoping Study (2004 – 2005)
Client: Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA)
Lead this project for AHCSA and mentor an Aboriginal research assistant to determine the issues related to Indigenous health research, identify research capability in South Australia, and establish clear priority areas for making informed policy, research and funding decisions to better support, target and coordinate Indigenous health research.
Schools, VET and partnerships: Capacity building in rural and regional areas (2004 – 2005)
Client: National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER)
In partnership with the Australian Youth Research Centre, research the real life application of social capital concepts in school-VET partnerships that demonstrate success in building social and economic capital in rural and regional communities.
